Organizational Renewal Associates (ORA) was founded by Dr. Edward S. Golden in 1971 with the mission of providing career assessment and development services to individuals and organizations. Dr. Golden, a Presbyterian minister and clinical psychologist, recognized the need for comprehensive career guidance and support, particularly among clergy and church staff.
Initially, Dr. Golden focused on offering psychological assessments and career counseling to clergy and church staff seeking career direction and life guidance. Dr. Golden's work at ORA expanded to include individuals from various professions and industries, as the demand for career assessment and development services grew.
Under Dr. Golden's leadership, ORA developed a reputation for its innovative approach to career development, emphasizing the importance of aligning individual strengths and interests with career opportunities. ORA's services expanded to include executive coaching, leadership development, and organizational consulting, helping individuals and organizations achieve their full potential.
In the 1990s, Dr. Golden's son, Dr. John Golden, took over leadership of ORA and led the organization through a period of growth and expansion. ORA began developing its own proprietary line of assessments, including the Golden Personality Profiler (GPP).
Today, ORA continues to offer a range of services designed to help individuals and organizations thrive in their respective fields. These services include career coaching, leadership development, team building, and organizational consulting. A graduate of West Virginia University, Peter studied psychology and completed his Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Alliant University in San Diego, California. He has over 25 years experience as an executive coach, as well as an organizational development and change management professional. He is a certified coach from the Center for Creative Leadership. Peter also is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial / Organizational Psychology and the Society for Consulting Psychology.
Peter is a certified expert in the Golden Personality Profiler assessment. He has had extensive experience using the Golden Personality Profiler and other tools developed by Golden, LLC. These tools have been instrumental in helping him assess individual and team dynamics, identify areas for improvement, and develop tailored strategies to enhance performance.
Is the President and Founder of Golden LLC. He is the developer and author of a proprietary line of individual, team, and organizational assessments. His online assessments are published in the United States, Europe, and Asia and are licensed to a host of prestigious international psychological test publishing companies in more than a dozen foreign languages. A central theme among his assessments is their positive and developmental focus, designed to help people and the organizations in which they work improve, grow, and succeed through a special focus on the practical and beneficial application of accurate self-knowledge and exploration.
John’s educational background includes a unique blend of psychology, education, and human resource management. His professional practice includes organizational change and development consulting and training, with a core specialty in the application of psychological assessments in executive coaching, career development, leadership, management development, team building, organizational culture, business, and ethics. He has authored numerous technical manuals and support guides and worked personally with tens of thousands of people in hundreds of organizations in for-profit, non-profit, education, government, and military-industrial settings. He also held a university faculty position as a Professor of Management.
